Cliff's Other Web Pages |
This is my personal Web site, where I get to put all of my family pictures and other self-indulgent stuff that
people like to put in their home pages. It's nothing fancy, simple HTML, a lot of scanned pictures, a few
links to areas of interest to me. Sometime in the future I might have a good friend spiff up these pages with
better graphics and page layouts, someone like Kim Carson:
http://www.nwlink.com/~kcarson/. I used to have a lot of humor pages, but deleted most of them in my latest round of Web page cleanup. Jeff Martin has a better collection of them anyway, and a humor e-mail list as well: http://www.netjeff.com/humor/ I have a wonderful wife Julie and son Nathan, who was born in Mar, 2000. He's the cutest little guy ever born, course. Most of the pictures on this site include him. The other member of our family is Buddy, a Rat Terrier, and he's such a smart dog he has his own Web site: http://buddy.codewrangler.net/. Julie has a few pages, including a recipe collection: http://spikegreen.codewrangler.net/. We've lived in Seattle for almost four years, after moving here from Olympia. All of us (except for Nathan) are originally from Oklahoma, moving to Washington 10 years ago. Check out the pics pages on the left if you want to see more. There's quite a few JPGs on them, so a warning if you have a slow modem (one of these days I'll thumbnail and organize them). Interests and LinksI keep an online journal at LiveJournal, if you want to read a little about various musings and contemplations I happen to write.I play keyboards on Sunday mornings at New Hope Christian Church. I love to play volleyball, specially sand doubles. Although we haven't played much in the last couple of years, Julie and I like to play in indoor leagues during cold weather, and on sand and grass leagues during the summer. I must admit, though, that each year I have to rely more and more on being crafty and less on agility. In fact, it's to the point where it takes a lot of effort to change direction. Heh. ... Anyway, here's a link to a decent volleyball site: Volleyball WorldWide Every weekend (and more during the summer) we go on a Volkswalk. It's an excellent way to get out and hike in areas that we would never have seen. Volkswalks (used to be called Volksmarches) are organized non-competitive walks, anywhere from 10k (typical) to 42k (marathon) in distance. The walk difficulty ranges from 1 (flat course) to 4+ (steep trails, usually in hill or mountain areas). We've walked through some beautiful and interesting areas in both city and forest locales. Check out this link: AVA Org Over the last three years I've built up a nice home theater in one of our spare rooms. We enjoy watching DVDs and an occasional HDTV movie on a 110 inch screen. Send me e-mail if you'd like to know what equipment I have. The best forum on the Web for home theater: AVS Forum I have a little bit of Scottish blood in me (Stewart clan), and I really enjoy the culture. Every summer in Enumclaw, Washington, the Pacific Northwest gathering and games is held, with world-class pipe and drum groups (among lots of other excellent activities) that I love to listen to. There's something about good bagpipes that stirs my blood ... (bad bagpipe playing, on the other hand, is truly awful). Anyway here's a link to an excellent Scottish page: The Gathering of the Clans A few other links I enjoy:
